Terms and conditions
The rules for playing Democracy Game Over: your licence, virtual items, purchases and the satire.
The short version:
- The game is satire. Its characters, parties and buildings are invented.
- You may play it for your own fun. Don't cheat, modify or resell it.
- Coins, gems and other items have no cash value and live only on your phone.
- Nothing can be bought today. Any future purchases will go through Google Play.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and madeit.cool (“we”, “us”) about Democracy Game Over (the “game”) and this website. By installing or playing the game, you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the game. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.
2. Satire and fiction
The game is a work of satire and parody. It makes fun of kinds of behaviour, such as bribery, empty rhetoric and red tape, not of real people. Every boss, hero, guard, party, organisation and building in it is fictional. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, or to real organisations is coincidental. Nothing in the game is a statement of fact about anyone, an endorsement or political advertising.
The game shows cartoon violence: throwing rocks, bottles, trash and food at cartoon characters. It must never be taken as encouragement to hurt anyone or damage anything in real life.
3. Who can play
You must be at least 13, or the minimum age to use online services where you live if that is higher. If you're under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
4. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install the game from Google Play on devices you own or control, and to play it for your own non-commercial use. You may not:
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the game, except where the law allows this despite these terms;
- use cheats, bots, save editors or exploits, or tamper with the game's data to gain items or progress;
- sell, rent, redistribute or publish the game or its assets;
- use the game, its characters or its art to harass, defame or impersonate anyone.
5. Virtual items
Coins, gems, energy, shards, stars, heroes, weapons and upgrades (“virtual items”) are part of the game. You have a licence to use them in the game, but you don't own them. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money, sold or transferred, either to another player or outside the game.
Virtual items are stored on your phone, not on our servers. Uninstalling the game, clearing its data or losing your phone can erase them, and we can't restore them. We may rebalance prices, rates and rewards in updates.
6. Random rewards
Pulls on the hero and weapon banners give a random reward. The odds are the same on both banners: S 2%, A 10%, B 28%, C 60%. Ten pulls together always include at least one B or better. The odds are printed on each banner in the game, and we will update them there and here if they change.
7. Purchases
The current version of the game can't be paid for in any way. Gem packs shown in the Recharge tab are placeholders. If we turn on in-app purchases, they will be processed by Google Play under Google Play's terms, and refunds will follow Google Play's refund policy and any consumer law that applies to you. We'll update these terms before purchases go live.
8. Google Play and Play Games
You get the game through Google Play, and you can sign in with Google Play Games. Google's own terms govern your Google account and those services. Google is not a party to these terms and isn't responsible for the game.
9. Updates and availability
We may update the game, change or remove features, or stop offering it. Some updates may be needed to keep playing. We try to keep the game working, but we don't promise that it will always be available or free of bugs.
10. Ownership
The game, its code, art, characters, names, music and text, and this website belong to madeit.cool or our licensors. If you send us feedback or ideas, you let us use them without owing you anything.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, the game is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost progress or virtual items. Our total liability for any claim about the game is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under consumer protection law and that can't be waived.
12. Ending this agreement
You can stop playing and uninstall the game at any time. If you break these terms, we may end your licence. Sections 2, 5, 10, 11 and 13 survive the end of this agreement.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If a dispute comes up, please email us first; most problems can be solved that way. If not, the competent courts of the Republic of Indonesia will decide it, unless consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the game about important changes. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
